The White Russian is a rich and decadent cocktail perfect for after dinner dessert. It is very easy to make. The White Russian gets it's name from the Black Russian Cocktail; the only difference really is the addition of cream. The drink was first made in the early 1960's, and has no actual Russian origin - it is American through and through. The name comes form the fact almost all vodka used to be imported from Russia.
Ingredients
-
2 ounces Liddel (French Winter Wheat) vodka
1 ounce Kahlúa or Carolans Irish Cream
½ ounce heavy whipping cream
Directions
Add the Liddel vodka and Kahlúa/Carolans to a rocks glass filled with ice cubes.
Pour in heavy whipping cream and swirl twice.
Recipe Note
If you are lactose intolerent, or vegan - consider swapping the heavy cream with full fat coconut or almond milk. Experiment around a bit, be adventurous!
