Love bourbon? What about buffalo wings? While it is great to compliment a plate of steaming hot buffalo wings with a glass of premium bourbon, what about combining the two? Crispy, spicy and chewy hot wings slathered in a rick, silky-smooth and buttery coating of bourbon-based spicy wing sauce. Mouth watering yet? Try this recipe for game night, or any night you want something wild!
Ingredients
5 lbs. bag chicken wings (drumettes)
12 fl. oz. Louisiana or Crystal Hot Sauce
¾ cup of high-rye bourbon
1-2 sticks butter
Directions
Fry chicken wings until golden brown and drain on paper towel.
Mix hot sauce and melted butter and bourbon.
Pour sauce into deep pan or crock pot (to keep warm)
Add chicken wings to sauce and heat thoroughly.
Recipe Note
Sprinkle with chopped green onion; experiment with dipping sauces such as honey mustard, bleu cheese or ranch. Serve with fresh celery sticks.
