This Cosmopolitan cocktail recipe is light and refreshing. For about a decade, the Cosmopolitan cocktail was the most popular drink in America. Bartenders would make hundreds of them a night. The original Cosmopolitan cocktail was created in the 1980's by a Miami bartender named Cheryl Cook while she was working at a popular South Beach bar called the Strand.
Ingredients
1 1/2 ounces Liddel French Winter Wheat vodka
1ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
3/4 ounce Cointreau or Triple Sec (Orange Liqueur)
1-2 lime wedges (garnish)
1/2 ounce cranberry juice
Directions
Add the Liddel vodka, Cointreau or Triple Sec, lime juice and cranberry juice into a cocktail shaker with a large handful of ice and gently shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
