Crafted by Torino Distillati, a renowned, family-owned distillery near Turin Italy, Hotel Starlino Rosso Vermouth is a blend of Marsala and Trebianno wines infused with an array of botanicals and finished for six months in bourbon barrels. The Starlino casks were shipped to Rabbit Hole where their Kentucky Straight Rye mingled with the vermouth’s aromatics, absorbing ghosts of flavors during a six-month aging process. The result is a whiskey with intriguing depth and character.
With Rabbit Hole Starlino, aromas of peppermint, ginger and cinnamon awaken the palate, followed by intriguing hints of vanilla, rose and a tang of tropical fruit. Each sip brings a complex mix of spices against a backdrop of sweet whiskey and wine flavors, which fade into a warm, nutty finish grounded by hints of oak. Neat, or on the rocks, this unique whiskey has the rich sophistication of the ultimate Manhattan.
Like future Distillery Series expressions, Starlino is a limited edition, small batch expression offered at cask strength to preserve the integrity of the whiskey.
